Part 2 of "Rough Patches in Ministry." Acts 15:36-41. Ministry is awesome when you view it from a distance. Sometimes, ministry is messy when you zoom in to a particular circumstance.
Ministry means people, bound together by something bigger than themselves. But wherever you have people, you have relationships. And wherever you have relationships, you have conflict. The early church learned this fast: widows overlooked, partnerships fractured, conflict unavoidable. Over the next two weeks, we're going to look at two of those moments — because the work they were doing then is the same work we're called to do now.
View Rough Patches In MinistrySometimes there are thoughts that we'd love to share with you, but they really don't fit anywhere in particular. So we have a blog for just such items.
We also have a large archive of all of our previous sermon series. Feel free to have a listen.
We maintain a few shared playlists on Apple Music & Spotify. They serve two purposes: To allow you to learn songs before we sing them, and to listen to a wider array of songs that we have sung corporately for the life of Good News.

Facebook Twitter Join a Community GroupThe stewardship of our finances is a tremendous—and often overlooked—area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim the gospel. Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. We trust in Him and His provision instead of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.
Give Your MoneyJust as we can donate from our finances, we can also donate our time. In this way you can help serve people inside, and outside, the church body. We have many ways in which you can serve:
Part 2 of "Rough Patches in Ministry." Acts 15:36-41. Ministry is awesome when you view it from a distance. Sometimes, ministry is messy when you zoom in to a particular circumstance.
Part 17 of "Life of Paul, Series 3" Acts 28:30-31. This sermon covers Paul's final years and his death. It also points out two lessons from Paul's life: that God's love is for all people and yet, there is a judgment coming if we do not turn to Him.
Life of Paul Series Part 16: "Ministry in Italy" Acts 28:11-28. Paul FINALLY arrives in Rome after 4 months of what "should have been" a 5 week journey. God has many ways to get us where He wants us to be, but He only has one way to save us!
Part 15 of "Life of Paul, Series 3"; Acts 28:1-10. This sermon covers the time that Paul washed up on the island of Malta. It also tells us what to do with the doubts that stem from noticing that sometimes non-Christians are nicer than Christians.
Part 4 of the "How To Read The Bible" sermon series. In this sermon Mario gives an overview of the entire New Testament.
Part 10 of "Reset." Acts 28:30-31 & Phillippians 1:12-14. In this sermon, we learn about how Paul helped to advance the gospel even while he was stuck in prison and/or in a house. (This sermon was preached at the beginning of the social distancing policies related to the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic.)
This was the sermon for the 2016 commissioning service for Royal Family Kids Camp. Taken from the book of Acts (mostly from the area between Acts 11:27 and Acts 15:41), this sermon recounts the story of the relationship between Paul and John Mark and points out some things we can learn from it.
