Part 1 of the series, "Guard the House" 1 Timothy 1:1-4 & 18-20. An introduction to the book of 1 Timothy.
This series is a survey of the life of Christ. The theme will be to learn conversations that Jesus had with various people, and we will try to go in chronological order from His early life until after His death.
View Conversations Jesus HadSometimes there are thoughts that we'd love to share with you, but they really don't fit anywhere in particular. So we have a blog for just such items.
We also have a large archive of all of our previous sermon series. Feel free to have a listen.
We maintain a few shared playlists on Apple Music & Spotify. They serve two purposes: To allow you to learn songs before we sing them, and to listen to a wider array of songs that we have sung corporately for the life of Good News.

Facebook Twitter Join a Community GroupThe stewardship of our finances is a tremendous—and often overlooked—area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim the gospel. Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. We trust in Him and His provision instead of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.
Give Your MoneyJust as we can donate from our finances, we can also donate our time. In this way you can help serve people inside, and outside, the church body. We have many ways in which you can serve:
Part 1 of the series, "Guard the House" 1 Timothy 1:1-4 & 18-20. An introduction to the book of 1 Timothy.
Part 2 of the series, "Guard the House". 1 Timothy 1:3-17. What is the purpose of the law?
Part 3 of the series, "Guard the House." 1 Timothy 2:1-7. In this sermon, we see God's heart for people who don't know him, and why we should care about and pray for them.

Part 5 of the series, "Guard the House." 1 Timothy 3:1-13. In this sermon, we learn about elders and deacons.
Part 6 of the series, "Guard the House". 1 Timothy 3:14-16. As believers, we carry a family name; the name of Jesus Christ. With that name comes a family code and honor that we fight to guard and protect; because the name is bigger than any one of us.
Part 7 of the series, "Guard the House". 1 Timothy 4:1-7. In this sermon, we learn about how to handle false teaching.
Part 8 of the series, "Guard the House." 1 Timothy 4:7-16. In this sermon, we learn why Christians, leaders especially, must live out the things that they preach.
Part 9 of the series, "Guard the House." 1 Timothy 5:1-16. In this sermon, we learn about an early church program involving widows, and how it relates to us today.
Part 10 of the series, "Guard the House." Paul felt the need to address the issue of slavery and give advice about how believers should act about it for the sake of the Gospel… Paul is really saying this... Serving well is a family matter that matters.
This is Part 11 of the series, "Guard the House". When it comes to the rain, we falsely believe that the overcoming only means waiting for the sun. With Christ, we are able to overcome the rain despite the presences of the rain! Timothy had to be reminded by Paul that he had to overcome with the truth of the Gospel.
This is Part 12 of the series, "Guard the House". Where do you set your hope? In this passage we see that it can be easy to set our hope in the money that we have; however, we learn that we must instead put our hope in Christ.
