When I’m sharing amazing stories about what God is doing in KidZone or at Good News Youth, I often say to people, “I wish I could bottle this up and share the excitement, because I think everyone would want to be a part of this!” And while I realize that not everyone can actually volunteer, I do believe everyone can pray!
I am asking you if you would be willing to partner with us and regularly pray for KidZone and Good News Youth each week? Maybe you would consider putting an alarm, or reminder, on your phone for Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings and pray for us specifically. If yes, here are some things we would ask you to pray for.
Pray For KidZone
On Sunday mornings, KidZone happens at the 9:15 and 11:00 services, for babies through 5th grade.
- Please pray that our kids continue to make connections between the truths found in these stories and living their every day lives to honor God.
- Please pray for our volunteers and teachers as they prepare lessons, show up to love and care for kids, teach Bible stories and explain how all of the Bible points to Jesus.
- Please pray for kids who are not Christians (yet!) to clearly understand the Gospel and to put their trust in Jesus.
- Please pray that our children will grow up with a strong faith and follow Jesus for their whole lives.
Pray For Good News Youth
On Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm, about 50+ students, from 6th-12thgrade, come for a time of snacks, games, youth-led worship songs, a Bible lesson and groups for discussion and prayer.
- Please pray for our students to build strong friendships with other Christian kids.
- Please pray that our kids who have lots of Bible knowledge will allow God’s truth to sink into their hearts and affect how they live their lives. And for those who are new Christians, that they would hear, and learn and grow.
- Please pray for students who are not Christians (yet!) to clearly understand the Gospel and to put their trust in Jesus.
- Please pray for our amazing youth leaders to have good connections with the students in their discussion groups, and to have wisdom to help our students navigate life’s challenges while trusting in God’s faithfulness.
- Please pray for our students to continue to honor God with their lives even while living in a culture that is continually pulling them in the opposite direction.
If you decide to pray for us, please put that reminder on your phone, and tell a child, student, KidZone or youth volunteer that you are praying for them, and maybe ask them to share with you a story about what God is doing in and through these ministries.
