Celebrate the Bible Sunday is April 14th

April 3, 2024 Jenny Stanley Announcement , Encouragement

Our children in KidZone are about to celebrate a huge accomplishment…we have studied the entire Bible from beginning to end!  The curriculum we use is called The Gospel Project and it covers the whole Bible, chronologically from Genesis to Revelation, over the course of THREE YEARS!  Each Sunday, we have added a new picture of that week’s lesson to our classroom timeline, which is about to be completed this Sunday with the final lesson from the book of Revelation about the promise that one day Jesus will come back again.

Before we start over again in Genesis, we want to set aside Sunday, April 14 as “Celebrate the Bible Sunday” and commemorate this milestone!  Class times will be the same, but we will have a special lesson and activities about the Bible and how each child can know and understand God’s Word for themselves.

At the end of class on April 14, we invite parents to step inside their child’s classroom and ask them to explain their favorite story on the timeline.  (The timeline is the same in each room, so if you have multiple children, you can gather them all and review together in one classroom.)  Even if you don’t have a child in KidZone, we invite you to stop by and take a look at this timeline and all the learning and growing-in-faith it represents.

Our theme verse for our celebration is Jeremiah 15:16, “Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart…”  This is our prayer for our kids:  that they will receive, understand and delight in all of God’s Words.  Please join us both in prayer and celebration of this goal!
