Yes and no. The answer is technically “yes” as December 24 falls on a Sunday this year. And we will be having services on that Sunday as we do every Sunday at 9:15 and 11:00am. The services that morning will be Christmas-themed, with Christmas music, and they’ll have a sermon on a Bible passage like, “Today a Savior, who is Messiah the Lord, was born for you in the city of David.”
However, if you only define a Christmas Eve service as a service that involves candles and happens at 5:00pm, then, no, we will not be having Christmas Eve services this year. We see no need to ask the people in our band to perform multiple times at multiple services in both the morning and evening. Same goes for our other volunteers. And we also don't believe that we need to try to get our congregation to attend multiple services in the same day.
I am looking forward to continuing the Jesus Is series, as it will be marching us right into the Christmas Season. And I hope to see you at our Christmas Eve Services this year at 9:15am and 11:00am on December 24!
